It all started with the quarterly trip planning 2010. Still remembered I was paired up with you by Angie to arrange the trip for the agency members.
“So this time around, let’s welcome Nick and Pei Voon to arrange the trip for us”.
The whole sentence still flying around my head till today as it marked the beginning of everything.
I was thinking, “What! With Nicholas? The guy I never spoke to before? Question marks keep flying in my head and I thought it was just a joke. Still remember how we felt so awkward when both of us took a picture during the first Agency Dinner 2010. The feeling was so different as we never talk to each other before. What’s more, we didn’t even speak or work along before during the rehearsal for the agency dinner. And we were like so close on the stage during rehearsal since you’re the so-called “IT manager”, the guy I’ve never ever have a word with and I’m just standing in front of you during the 1 month practice for the dinner.
Everything went on smoothly and lazy me didn’t even show my face every day for morning meeting after the agency dinner. I was thinking what’s the plan now if I really need to work with Nicholas. So finally, I’d make up my mind to do some research before getting back to you on the trip. I did my so-called research in the afternoon every day during my working hours in my office after I’m done with my task for the day.
Each piece of info collected was nicely documented along with the cost for each place. Finally, till one night, I received your message asking me when are we meeting up for the trip to discuss. And out of sudden, I replied your message saying let’s meet up before night meeting in the coming week to further discuss it.
The day came and when I’m on my way, I received your message telling me you will wait me for dinner and you ask what I want to eat for dinner. And I replied, you decide or we will go for McDonalds. But nothing goes right after the call because I was stuck in the jam with Ken. When I reached, you told me you’re hungry. I felt so bad. I thought its’ the end of everything since we were both busy with our own stuff and we won’t have free time to discuss anymore.
During that night, you message me again asking me so how’s our discussion for the trip. I felt so bad at first, but when we keep texting each other, you gave me the feelings that you’re kind of friendly and shy guy. And guess what, that’s when I changed my perception towards you and it changed everything.
On and off we keep texting each other no matter it is for the trip or personal matters. And we started our conversation in MSN as well along with the others. And I can feel the difference between you and me, perhaps sixth sense?
